布兰特·瓦登（1979年生于加拿大新斯科舍省）将他的抽象编织作品描述为绘画。通过不断重复的几何形状与对称图案，他的画作展示出对现代抽象主义形式和概念的参考，同时也挑战着编织媒介的传统与范式。作为一名自学成才的编织者，瓦登的创作过程是探索性且费时费力的，并且通过经年累月的试错不断扩展，吸收了复杂形式和令人意外的色彩组合。
