The American way of life reconsidered from the angle of B movies and teen rock culture: this is the kind of hidden world that Mark Flood has time and again turned to with ritualistic regularity. Like a cry for help, or rallying calls issued from a fog, like so many sounds and screams, an animal silhouette that seems to look directly at the onlooker emerges from a thick velvet backdrop, colored midnight blue, and saunters to a hall covered by posters and other images of an immense family ripped from the pages of magazines.
