  • Marinella Senatore’s (b. 1977, IT) diverse film, performance, and photographic practice is characterized by public participation. Senatore incorporates entire communities into her creative process, aiming to harness the creative power of crowds and to initiate dialogues between oral history, culture, and social structures. She currently lives and works in Paris and London. Recent prizes, biennials and museum solo shows include the MAAXI Prize (2014), Kunsthalle St. Gallen, Castello di Rivoli, Gotham Prize (Italian Institute, NYC 2013) and the 54th Venice Biennial curated by Bice Curiger.
