Dorothy Iannone | Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, Denmark

Peres Projects is pleased to announce Dorothy Iannone's solo exhibition at the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg in Denmark. The exhibition, which was first presented at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, will feature Iannone's signature early work as well as sculptures, paintings and drawings. Opening November 25, the exhibition will run until March 5, 2023.

For six decades, Dorothy Iannone (b. 1933 in Boston, US) has developed and cultivated an imagery that is epic and intensely personal. Based on her own life and a wealth of historical references, she pays homage to free love, ecstasy and the both pleasurable and spiritual encounter between lovers. With her continuous fight for freedom and her challenges to contemporary culture and censorship, Iannone offers us a vision of feminine sexuality which is not repressed or exploited, but radiantly alive.
